Aside from personally getting stronger, the coolest part of making the documentary has been seeing how different coaches utilize the Westside methods to get FREAKY results from different kinds of athletes. Byrd makes some jumpers like you wouldn't believe!

Puts on the ol’ comp tee and all of a sudden I want to be a coach??? 😂 
I love fitness. I love travelling. How do I sustainably combine both? I spend most of my travels on the road in a van or in the woods in a tent, away from society and accessible gyms. Usually the only exercise I get in on trips is hiking. I miss the weight and feeling my muscles building. Starting early 2020 I’ll be living out van on the road for months.. HOW am I going to stay in shape in the middle of nature?? 100 reps of body weight squats everyday isn’t going to cut it. 
I’m throwing this out here because I’d love to create a usable program for nomads, frequent flyers, van lifers, or any gym rat on vacation, who need something while they are away from their fitness routine, short or long term. It’s about utilizing the resources you have around you to build functional strength, power, and mobility. This is step one - WHO’S IN?

Lower body today with some suspended good mornings at "suck your own d*ck" height according to @lupo308. While I didn't try that particular move, we did some moderately heavy good mornings from a low starting position.  Worked up to 380 for 3 and then backed it down to 330x5. I tried 420 but felt like my spine was going to pop out of my asshole so opted to not go for the ego lift to spare the "injuries happen" post. @augie2200 did go for the 420 and got it so fuck him for the day. Proceeded to work lower body afterwards hitting the pro-squat, single leg presses, and other accessories, and finished it all off with 6 min continuous sled drag with a couple hundred pounds attached at the waist. On deck for tomorrow is bench of course.

Still don’t understand sumo deadlifts. Clearly had an uneven grip here and didn’t even notice. Got it for 3 more weeks then switching back to my true love, conventional pulls.

Today was gory:
Sumo deadlift: 4 x 8 up to 345#
Walking lunges: 4 x 12 up to 45#s
TnG Bench: 4 x 8 up to 200#
Leg extensions: 2 x 12-15 up to I don’t remember the weight but everyone around me was clearly impressed

Tummen upp och den smått obehagliga minen på när man lyckats mäktat med 15 ton bröst och triceps. VILL ju att mina armar ska bli som två STORA bitar välmörade Kobebiffar. Som hängt i 24 månader. Kvalité värt 30.000 kr i armarna. Just nu får armarna extra fokus då min axel känns värre igen. Det kommer bli min bänkpressprestations död. Mäktade med 10 set x 5 reps på 60 + 70 kg. Är en märklig känsla att känna att styrkan finns för mycket mer men KROPPEN säger emot. Som en trotsig tonåring. Kändes som tusen små backstab-hugg värdigt Grimas Ormstunga i Sagan om Ringen:s tappra försök. Tänker er det om han lyckades gånger 10. Men jag är inte den som förtröstar eller ger upp. Jag SLITER PÅ. Vet ni varför? För att dra på sig hörlurarna, komma in i sin egna värld på gymmet och göra det jag verkligen älskar. Kommer jag fortsätta med oavsett hinder. Ni kan skadeskjuta både armar och ben och jag kommer stå där och köra typ NACKCURLS. Så det så.
Dagens pass får 6/10 smärtsamma axlar. Skål.

One of the best performing athletes I get the pleasure to train. @sherper_lifts went from grandma to badass powerlifter over night. I really enjoy sharing my love for the sports I enjoy and powerlifting has always meant a great deal to me. So makes me very proud to say that I have been able to completely get someone to break their comfort zone to find something they truthfully also love just as much. 💪
