Happy Monday friends! 4 easy miles this morning and off to work.
A bit of a late post but I ran the Queens 10K on Saturday! It was another weekend of running with friends and seeing a ton of familiar faces on and along the course!
Let’s talk a little about running a crowded race. It’s certainly a challenge, especially in the first couple of miles. There might be some weaving and passing people, and maybe even some elbowing. But the one thing that gives me the most anxiety? Fluid stations!
It is nearly impossible to grab a cup at full speed with many others in front and behind you and keep going without knocking someone over. And while we all love this sport because of the challenge, the chance to conquer the distance, to get faster, to bring home that PR, aren’t we all there to have fun and let others do the same?!
♦️Exercise more caution,
♦️Not lose sight of why we are all there,
♦️Not forget what we all preach here on social media - that the running community is inspiring and uplifting, and
♦️Most importantly, HAVE FUN!!
How did you spend your weekend?
