This leads me into say you know the phrase ‘If you can’t pronounce it don’t eat it’. I get where this saying comes from but I totally disagree. Take
Docosahexaenoic acid ie omega 3 fat, the most essential fatty acid for brain health, found in mackerel and oily fish. If you followed that rule your skin would start flaking and go all dull and vision and brain health would go down hill. Another example is ascorbic acid also known as vitamin C! Don’t be scared of long words, in the U.K. every product is highly regulated they are all safe on the shop shelves .

Plantbased Chocolate Brownie Protein Balls! A little snack I love to have on hand (or stashed away in the freezer) for those days I’m craving something a little naughty but don’t want to over indulge 😆! They are super easy to make. I simply threw a handful organic walnuts, 5 medjool dates, 2 Tbs #coconut paste (aka butter) or coconut oil if your don’t have, a large scoop plantbased chocolate protein powder, tsp maple syrup, tsp vanilla bean paste and 3 tbs #organic cocoa or cacao powder into a food processor. Blend until sticky, roll into balls and coat in Dessicated coconut (optional) ! Freeze for a few hours and enjoy ! 👌🏽🍓🍫 //@thesourcebulkfoods

Fragst du dich auch immer wieder welche Diät-Mythen echt sind und welche fake? Ich habe jahrelang immer wieder an diese Mythen geglaubt und das hat mich teilweise extrem eingeschränkt, nicht zu wissen, was nun wirklich gesund und was ungesund ist.

Zum Beispiel dachte ich lange Zeit Kohlenhydrate würden mich dick machen. Ich habe immer darauf geachtet, so wenig wie möglich oder praktisch keine Kohlenhydrate zu essen. Im Restaurant wählte ich die Speisen aus, die keine Kohlenhydrate enthielten und nicht die, die mir eigentlich schmeckten. Beim Einkaufen verglich ich bspw. Lebensmittel mit anderen und wählte die kohlenhydratärmere Variante. Ich fühlte mich auch nur gut, wenn ich keine Kohlenhydrate ass. Ja man kann sagen, dass ich Angst hatte vor Kohlenhydraten.

Heute weiss ich, dass Kohlenhydrate alles andere als gefährlich sind. Welche Mythen sind bei dir immer noch fest verankert?

Why have lemon water in the morning? 🍃 It’s a great source of Vitamin C, it detoxes your body as it cleanses your liver, it’s good for your skin, and it’s great for weightloss as it helps with digestion.

Macros = macronutrients that make up our food which are carbs, protein and fat. Most foods have two or even 3 of the macronutrients. Avocados for example are predominantly fat but also contain carbs, mostly from it’s large amount of fiber.

Using macros in addition to calories to hit your goals can help make sure you’re hitting a higher amount of protein & the right amount of fat and carbs for you which can lead to a better body composition change. .
While a calorie deficit (for fat loss) or calorie surplus (for muscle gain) are super important, catering your macros towards your goals & genetics (i.e. can tolerate more fat or more carbs) can help you reach your goals faster & feel better overall.

I noticed when I started tracking my macros that I was slightly under my optimal protein level & that I could actually benefit from eating a little bit more carbs & little less fats.

Whatever approach you take, make sure most of your foods come from high, quality whole foods and you’ll be in a good place!

quando il caldo si fa sentire inizio ad abbandonare pian piano il porridge per quello che gli anglofoni chiamano #overnightoats.
Lascio l’aveva in fiocchi con un po’ di latte - di mandorla nel mio caso-  in un bicchiere per una notte intera.
Ieri sera prima di mettere il mio bicchiere in frigo ho aggiunto qualche pezzettino di cioccolato fondente per renderlo ancora più sfizioso 😊
Stamattina ho preso del cacao amaro sciolto con un po’ di acqua calda e aggiunto la cremina allo yogurt greco, mezza banana a rondelle ed infine altri due cucchiai di yogurt greco. 😍
Oggi allenamento 🏋🏻 gambe. A I U T O!
